Green Card Almost Trashed

Yes! The long wait and process is finally over and wait for 2 years for the next update. We're expecting my GC or Permanent Residency Card this week after our AOS approval on May 15, 08. The first 2 letters from the USCIS have the USCIS on the return address so I was expecting the same.

Last Tuesday I collected the mail since I know one day I will get my GC in the mail. My hubby calls me every afternoon and ask if the GC arrived. My answer for 2 days was NO NOT YET. This morning when am on the cleaning mode I organized the mails in the counter accordingly until this white 2 window envelope caught my attention. Ohhhmiiigggoossshhhh, it's address to both our names. I'm thinking it's another pre-approved credit card offer but I checked the return address the PO Box and MO tickled me.

Of Course I shake it and feel if there's a card inside and am positive there's one so I open it and there you go WELCOME TO AMERICA! Whew! I almost threw it in the trash can. Since I know my booboo is still on the plane at that time I put the card on the counter to surprise him when he gets home because the first thing he does is go to the counter and open the mails, junk, bills, catalogs and a lot more.

AOS Update!

Imagine that, yesterday was our AOS interview and on the same date our card production was ordered. That was quick! Maybe they think that we have been waiting for 10 months to get done with this that is why they processed it right away after our interview.

To all those who are still waiting for their AOS update just hang on there the wait is worthy the most important is you and your partner are united unlike when you are waiting for the visa. Good Luck!
