Sympathy To All MV Princess of the Stars Victims and Family

We may want to offer a little prayer to the victims of the MV Princess of the Stars tragedy in the Philippines. Hope that those survivors that remain not found will have more courage and strength to fight and survive. Watching those relatives grieving make my heart tear apart but what we can offer to them is our prayer that hoping that their relatives will survive if not at least they find their bodies.

The update from the Sulpicio Lines as of 6/24/08 there are 10 more survivors arriving in Cebu via Philippine Airlines. Here is the list of the 10 survivors from Sulpicio Lines Press Release:
  1. Reynante Ardina
  2. Nino Lauros
  3. Wresley Blanco
  4. Antonio Gosep
  5. Jose Marie Garbo
  6. Phil Gilig
  7. Oniel Loguban
  8. Ruel Libot
  9. Estanisao Tura Jr.
  10. Philip Vasquez
At this time blaming the tragedy to the Vessel authorities and coast guards wont help, what is more important is to continue searching for possible more survivors and provide them complete medical assistance to at least get over with their traumatic experience.

Another Tragedy in the Philippines

Too sad another tragedy attacked the Philippines again. I can't help myself but cry while watching the TFC news. We are aware that Philippines is prone to typhoons but "Typhoon Frank" taken so many lives. I do not know what to say but believe that this is another tragic tragedy to those provinces that are affected and those who have lost their families and love ones.

So far more than 100 survivors reported from the MV Princess of the Star tragedy compare to a high percentage that are still missing. News as of 6/14/08. To those who are interested to check the list of passengers and survivors click here:

Blogger loses day job with CNN over blogging

Let’s file this one under unreal.

Chez PazienzaChez Pazienza, a producer at CNN assigned to American Morning, was unceremoniously fired from his job today — without severance — over the content of his popular and edgy blog, Deus Ex Malcontent (warning: adult language). He had worked for CNN for four years, beginning as a Senior Producer in Atlanta. Chez is a member of my tribe and a friend, and I’m not happy about this turn of events.

Obama's Big Blowout in SC

It's my booboo's habit reading newspaper during breakfast. This morning our topic was the big win of Obama's in SC. We were talking about how they argue on their debates and we laugh when Clinton got so mad in some of their debates. Who will be on top for this election? Let's watch out.

» EJ_Dionne | Barack Obama's better than 2-to-1 victory over Hillary Clinton in Saturday's South Carolina primary was far bigger than anyone -- or any of the polls-- anticipated. Right off that victory, Obama won the endorsement of Caroline Kennedy, and on Monday picked up the backing of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. In South Carolina, Obama won more votes than were cast for all candidates in the Democratic primary four years ago. He got over 140,000 votes more than John McCain won in his victory in last week's admittedly more fragmented Republican primary. Exit polls suggest that Bill Clinton's campaigning hurt Hillary Clinton more than it helped, and voters who decided late were more inclined toward Obama than Clinton. Some questions to ponder: How much impact will Obama's South Carolina victory have on the nearly two dozen states that vote on Feb. 5? How much of this is, as many Obama supporters believe, a repudiation of Bill Clinton's campaigning? How much will the Clintons have to change in their respective approaches? What should Obama do now? And what problems for Clinton and Obama -- and, for that matter, John Edwards -- do these results expose? And what difference will the Kennedy endorsements make? Join a discussion of these amazing political developments.
